[ BIO ] Silva Kuu[sniemi] is a writer, filmmaker and game designer based in Helsinki. She has written and directed two short films: Phlegethon (2018) and Dead Fish (2020). Her third short film, Stump, is currently in development . She has been published in The New York Times and Washington Square Review. One day she will write a gothic novel.

She studied visual arts at Norwich University of the Arts, videography at Helsinki Design School, and MA Game Design and production at Aalto University.

She has worked with Hobby Film, Naive Society, Hey! Film Sweden, Palladium Fiction and Homerun Media. She is a winner of the 2022 Pitch Film Fund Drama Award.
